TechSlayers is a Canadian offensive-security company. We break into things for a living — for municipalities, for defence, for banks, for people whose names are the asset — and every time the tooling wasn't good enough, we built the tool. That's the whole company in one sentence.

Why it exists
The report was never the point.
Most of this industry sells a document. Six weeks of work, a hundred pages, a severity column, and an invoice. It is bought once a year because a framework says so, read by two people, and out of date before it is signed off. Nobody involved believes it makes the organisation safer; it makes the organisation compliant, which is a different thing that is easier to sell.
We started TechSlayers because the interesting work is the other side of that. Finding the way in is the easy part. Proving it, showing how it chains to something that actually matters, handing over evidence a defender can act on the same afternoon, and then still being there when the surface moves next month — that is the job. Everything we've built exists to close the gap between the day of the test and every other day.
How we're built
An operator problem became a product line.
We are a studio as much as a consultancy. When an engagement kept hitting the same wall — identity exposure nobody could see, a WordPress estate nobody could inventory, a browser we couldn't trust to open a hostile link — we wrote something to get past it. Then the next client had the same wall.
Eleven of those became real products, and Red Team Suite is where they share a surface map, a dashboard and a reporting layer. The result is unusual in this market: the consultancy and the platform sharpen each other, because the people shipping the code are the people who needed it at 2am on someone else's network.

We do the work first
Every product started as a shortcut an operator needed on a live engagement. Nothing here was designed in a roadmap meeting and validated later.

Automation where it's honest
Discovery, validation and re-testing should run continuously and without us. Judgement, chaining and the "so what" are still human, and we don't pretend otherwise.

A decision-ready narrative for the board and reproducible evidence for the person fixing it — generated together, so they can never contradict each other.

The fastest way to lose a decade-long relationship is to sell a red team to someone who needs MFA and a backup they've actually restored from.
Where we work
Canadian owned, and it matters here.
We're based in Toronto and Vancouver, and we're Canadian owned end to end. For municipal, defence and controlled-goods work that isn't a marketing line — it's a procurement precondition, and it decides who is allowed to hold your findings. Our reports are written to survive a government reader.
The client list runs from towns of nine thousand people with one IT generalist to banks, intelligence-adjacent programmes and venture portfolios. The engineering standard does not change between them. What changes is the language, which is why the site splits into Services and Solutions.
Careers
We're hiring. Send the interesting thing.
We hire slowly and we hire for curiosity. There is no listings page here on purpose — if you are good at this, we would rather read one paragraph about something you broke than a CV formatted to survive a keyword filter. Certifications are fine. They are not the interesting thing.
Send a note to careers@techslayers.ca with what you'd want to work on and one thing you've built, found or reverse-engineered. A write-up, a repo, a CVE, a disclosure, a tool nobody asked for. We read all of them.
